The helpers also broke a barrier because they helped the people in the annex. They were non Jewish people helping Jewish people even though they knew they could get into trouble.
Anne Frank broke many barriers during the Holocaust. One of those barriers is her diary. Without her diary we would have no idea what the Jewish families were going through. The diary helped us overcome the barrier of not knowing because Anne wrote in it about everything- friends, the annex, her feelings, and lots of other things. Another way they broke barriers is being a Jew when Adolf Hitler and the Nazis took over. Jews were limited to the things they could do and couldn't do something without it being known about. Anne Frank made a huge impact on todays world because she showed us- through her diary- the terrible things that happened to them.
"We all live with the objective of being happy; our lives are different and yet the same"

"The finest thing of all is that I can at least write down what I think and feel, otherwise I would suffocate completely."
~ Anne Frank
Anne Frank was a girl who lived through a tragedy at a very young age. She is remembered greatly because she kept a diary and documented her view point of Adolf Hitler taking over. Anne stayed positive during a hard time and had a good spirit through it all. Her and all the other victims of the Holocaust were strong and brave even when things were in life or death situations. We want people to understand how the Holocaust affected many Jews and that they were shamed just because of their religion. Their own rights were taken away from them just because one person in power thought that they were such terrible people. It is important for people to learn about Anne Frank and the holocaust because it was such a traumatic event that we want to prevent from happening again.
