Concentration Camps

Anne Frank

Her Life in Hard Times

Concentration Camps

On Friday August 4, 1944 Anne's family and the other families in hiding were discovered by the German soldiers. They were scolded to pack everything up. The whole family was terrified. They were first taken to Westerbork, a transit camp. All the people that were in the Secret Annex were on the list to be transported to Eastern Europe. The train had finally arrived after 3 long days at a camp called Auschwitz-Birkenau in Poland. Eventually, the girls were transferred to the Bergen-Belsen camp in Germany.
